// lightroom training - learn lightroom with steve fox
Adobe Lightroom has revolutionised the way photographers work. In one package, photographers can achieve 80% of their needs while integrating seamlessly with the tools necessary for the final 20%. Private training sessions are a great way to get up to speed with Lightroom.
As an early adopter of digital photography, I have seen how the needs of photographers has created huge amounts of software with overlapping but non-integrated functionality. Lightroom brought most of this functionality into a 1-stop solution and I have been on board from Day 1!
// lightroom training - my approach
Lightroom is divided into 5 modules and lessons naturally map to these, however Library and
Develop are core to the program and
what every beginner should focus on - the other modules may figure in your workflow
to a greater or lesser extent, for example Web figures highly in mine as the
galleries of this website are built with a lightroom "add on" I developed.
Lessons typically focus on the following fundamentals:
1) Setting up Lightroom Library the right way: Identify your needs and decide a best fit approach to keeping your images organised.
2) Keeping Organised: Understand the difference between Folders and Collections, use keywords, ratings, search etc to easily find your images.
3) Working with your Images: Post processing images to squeeze the best out of the pictures you have.
